My motivation in practicing Reiki is experiencing wholeness and being present with myself, including my weak spots. When I experience wholeness, even for a moment, I can give expression to who I am, what I need and what I have to offer.
Daily self-treatment(s) and receiving treatments from fellow Reiki practitioners are the foundation of my practice. Self-care forms a base that enables me to experience healing, authenticity and connection which in turn creates space to give others treatments. My experience with Reiki is that pain and fear (eventually) soften and deeper layers of who I am (and am not) are revealed. Reiki, for me, is like a link that connects the visible with the invisible and weaves all parts together.
Reiki is uncomplicated and shows that life is too.
I also enjoy writing, reading, working out, being in nature and spending time with people I love.

I completed my training at Reiki-center De Oorsprong in The Hague and have been initiated in the first and second degree by Reiki Masters Annette Vis and Marcel Vis.

When water encounters obstruction, it steadily and quietly builds up behind the wall until it eventually overflows, washing the barrier away.
Be like the water: build up your strength and force quietly, without undue anxiety or worry, knowing that you will eventually overflow and bypass the obstruction.
